Canadian trio Chances are here
with new single ‘Fire to Go’ and it’s a bit of a romp. The 80s inspired synth
melodies are bouncy and infectious while the beat is steady and more serious – reflecting
a delightful juxtaposition between the ying and yang. The sweet, powerful
vocals exist somewhere between the Human League, St Etienne and a touch of Lisa
Stansfield and they perfectly weave in and out of the melodies and rhythm with expert
precision. This is primed for use in a film soundtrack but at the very least you
could add this to your ‘uplifting’ playlist if you have such a thing.
