JOSHUA KYEOT – SINGLE REVIEW

Joshua KYEOT– Playground Sweethearts

Joshua Kyeot - Playground Sweethearts

Release Date: Out Now

British-Ghanaian Joshua KYEOT has an innocence and tenderness about his music that seems to stop everything around you and makes you focus in on his plucked electric guitar notes and soulful, emotive vocals. New single ‘Playground Sweethearts’ has such a sweet heart (without wanting to state the obvious) as it ambles along the back streets of nostalgia, kicking a can along the street in the midsummer sunshine. This is the kind of song you want to take home to meet your mother with it’s charm and crooning style in the sparse verses and swelling choruses full of rolling bass lines and delicate additions to the melody. KYEOT is a talent that comes from the heart and soul rather than any more artificial or constructed place and that is a rare thing these days. Oh and did I mention the man has a voice like warm melted chocolate? Well he has and I’m talking about the good stuff too, sweet, comforting and rich.
