I have to admit that this one
didn’t really do much for me on first listen, but something made me give it a
second chance. Canadian Dani Le Rose chanteuse has a cool, almost cold, about her which slots in along side the likes
of Lana Del Rey but new single ‘Vertigo’ has a stylish edge that is more along
the lines of Lady Gaga or Madonna from about 3 albums ago. The smooth, slightly
stylised vocals of Ms Dani Le Rose are charming in every sense and the lush
melodies swoon with a real 20s sense of opulence mixed with clinical 80s production.
I’m now about 8 listens in on this one and it’s a definite grower, so if this
can find it’s way on to heavy rotation on commercial radio then we might be looking
at a hit here.
