AMOEBA TEEN – SINGLE REVIEW

Amoeba Teen - (Coming On) Stronger
Amoeba Teen – (Coming On) Stronger

Release Date: 26th January 2018

Sons of Stourbride, the excellently named Amoeba Teen are dropping new single ‘(Coming On) Stronger’ and it’s a perky little number. Borrowing heavily from Elvis Costello, Redd Kross and Squeeze, the melody has a lazy Saturday afternoon vibe with a tight rhythm section and the kind of lyrics that make no sense and every bit of sense at the same time. If you’re a fan of British Indie-pop from any period in the last 40 years then this will be right up street. There’s a tasty little video too although it features a clown type thing right at the end which loses it points. I’m not a fan of clowns in general.
