SON LITTLE – SINGLE REVIEW

Son Little – O Me O My (ANTI-)
Son Little - O Me O My

Release Date: Out Now

It feels like things are about to blow up for Philadelphia talent Son Little and it’s not before time either. New single ‘O Me O My’ comes at a time when he is currently touring the UK and Europe as his own artist but also in support of some more established crowd pullers so the ball is firmly in his court. Musically speaking, this is initially just an acoustic funk-blues groove but when that beat comes in and the scratchy guitars then you know it’s time to break out your best dance moves. Elements of Aloe Blacc, Bruno Mars and Finley Quaye all come through but there’s a more authentic vibe here that, even though I’m listening to this on Soundcloud, sounds like you can hear a vinyl crackle somewhere in the mix.  Little’s voice is rich, smooth and warm which is perfect for a tune like this so have a sip of rum, leave your coat on the chair and let’s get to dancing.
