sing Mancunian act Glass Ankle on their blatantly and unashamedly political new
single ‘JC4PM’. This single bleeds red and cares deeply about the election on 8th
June but has set the message to a laconic and suave slice of indie that ambles
along the tow path beside this particularly political canal. Think Teenage
Fanclub, Belle & Sebastian and Badly Drawn Boy teaming up with Super Furry
Animals and Gorki’s Zygotic Mynci for some sort of uber-indie collaboration
like Live Aid but in a way more lo-fi way. “To save our NHS, to reduce
homelessness, to protect human rights so everyone’s a future that’s bright”.
