SUNSET SONS – SINGLE REVIEW

Sunset Sons – Know My Name
Sunset Sons - Know My Name

Release Date: Out Now

Here’s a stomping beauty from the multinational and hardworking quartet, Sunset Sons. Driven by a relentless piano chord and thumping drums, ‘Know My Name’ is a summertime classic for cranking up to eleven and easing on to the open road as the sun comes up. There are bits of the Jim Jones Review, Brother and Bones and the anthemic qualities of Bruce Springsteen but what really stands out for me on this tune is the freshness, energy and honesty that oozes from every note and beat. At nearly four minutes long I think this song has a lot more to give when performed live and there’s room for a soft drum breakdown and some serious crowd participation. Sunset Sons are a band that I’ve known about for a while but never given much time to in the past, that won’t be the case anymore. Colour me impressed.
