THE KING'S PARADE - SINGLE REVIEW

The King's Parade - Bunched Up Letters
The King's Parade - Bunched Up Letters

Release Date: Out Now

London lads The King's Parade play what they describe as Soul-Blues-Pop and after about 30 seconds of their new single, 'Bunched Up Letters', I'm inclined to agree. There is an incredibly soulful sound to the vocals but the melody is pure blues and could be Otis or BB tugging forcefully at the heart strings. The pop element comes in with a James Morrison vibe but wrapped up in the package of band that are approaching Brother & Bones levels of intensity this is a much more powerful prospect. Roll in an ingenious and touching video animated by Lily Fang and you have one of the purest, most intense and genuinely refreshing new sounds to have arrived in my ears in quite some time. Bravo The King's Parade, bravo indeed.
