My first reaction on seeing the name of this Bath band was a fairly graphic mental image of a jamboree based massacre with bloodied woggles and burning tents. However, once I dragged myself back from the darkness the lives inside my soul, I decided to give their new single, 'Cease And Resist', a shot. From the first guitar lick and drum kick, you can tell that this is a snake-hipped, sleaze-ball of a tune that would probably have pierced testicles if it was physically able to. Think Buckcherry but heavier, Slash but slicker or Audioslave but more sexual than political. Throw in an epic breakdown of a chorus and the kind of atmospherics that only come in black and you've got a genuine rock stomper. And not a single prepubescent boy was harmed in the making of this song. Probably...
