The San Fernando Valley has always sounded like a cool place to go and hang out with people so I might go and hang out with Run River North as they seem like pretty fun people. This new single, 'Excuses', is a light and bouncy indie number that's somewhere between Vampire Weekend and the Kooks with jangly, summery guitars and the kind of chorus that is just begging to be sung back at the stage during a summer festival. There's something infectiously perky about this tune that is like the last days of summer sun and the last crate of cider being enjoyed as the sun goes down and the beach fires get lit.
