MENSWE@R - SINGLE REVIEW

Menswe@r - Crash '14 (Postpop Records)
Menswear - Crash '14

Release Date: 26th May 2014

So here it is. The moment we've all been waiting for. The most popular Britpop band that only released one album are back with a new single. Are you ready? I know I am. 'Crash '14' is instantly recognisable as a Menswear tune with those vocal harmonies and Johnny Dean's distinctively articulate vocal style riding high atop some clean, crunchy guitars and drums from everyone's favourite BBC 6Music journo. And then there's the saxophone. That's right, a fairly ill advised saxophone solo which is usually the last resort of a band unsure of how to fill a gap in a song. So, as comebacks go, you couldn't imagine this was anyone else apart from Menswear, which is great, but then it's Menswear with a saxophone solo, which is less great. In menswear terms it's a suit but it's a nylon suit from BHS suit. More to come, hopefully.
